2014 Senior Products Certification

2014 AHIP and Cigna-HealthSpring Online Modules are LIVE
Medicare 2014 Annual Enrollment Period begins on October 15, 2013 Don’t Delay!

If you have not started your modules, consider getting started now. Cigna is offering a 100% AHIP reimbursement incentive to those agents who complete training by September 10, 2013.

In order to qualify for the reimbursement incentive, you will need to complete two out of three requirements for the 2014 Certification
  1. Complete AHIP Online Modules.
  2. Complete Cigna-HealthSpring Online Modules. (MA only PDP to follow)
And there's one more requirement...
In order to qualify you will need to write 10 AEP enrollments.

How much is the reimbursement?
You will receive a $100 reimbursement which will be paid at the end of January, 2014.

The three parts of 2014 Certification are:
  1. Complete AHIP Online Modules.

Once 2014 benefits are released you will receive a reminder notice to log back in and complete 2014 Market Overview Modules. But don’t worry we will send you a reminder once all of the information has been loaded.

2014 Cigna Medicare Rx (PDP Only) Training and Certification is Now Open!

Medicare 2014 Annual Enrollment Period begins on October 15th Don’t Delay!

Producers contracted to sell the Cigna Medicare products must successfully certify prior to marketing or selling Cigna Medicare products. Producers must all certify prior to December 7, 2013 in order to maintain renewal commissions for your existing book of business. This means you must complete the required online training and pass the exams with a score of 85% or better prior to distributing any Cigna Medicare products.

You must complete the lesson and then take the exam, which is embedded at the end of the lesson. The exam may be taken up to three times. If you fail to pass the exam within three attempts, you will not be allowed to market or sell Cigna Medicare products for the 2014 selling season. Producers who distribute and sell Cigna Medicare products prior to successfully passing the requisite exams will not be eligible to receive commissions on that business and may have their marketing agreement terminated.

3 Easy Steps to Certify
  • All agents must provide their 2014 AHIP certification

  • All agents who wish to sell the National Part D product must complete the 2014 National PDP Lesson Overview

  • All agents who are contracted for and wish to continue to sell the Arizona MAPD product must complete certification by following these instructions.

Here are some helpful tips about our training & certification website and its functionality:
  • Your username and password is the same as with the prior training site

  • The site URL does not change and is: https://producertraining.cigna.com

  • All vital information is on one landing page, with no scrolling required

  • You can take a course, then study, and download a completion certificate quickly and easily

  • Additional navigation and site sections available (i.e., History, AHIP, Help, Profile) help to support program growth and expansion.
AHIP Training and Credits
Once you have completed and passed the 2014 AHIP training, there are two ways to get your credit:
  1. Fax your 2014 AHIP certificate with your Cigna Agent ID written on top of the document to Cigna at (248) 729-2364 and get credit for successfully completing the AHIP training. A mandatory fax cover sheet is required and can be located on the website or by clicking here.

  2. Or scan and email your AHIP certificate to cignauniversity@gpworldwide.com. Be sure to write your Agent ID on the certificate before you send it.
2013 Courses Are Still Available.
If you still wish to sell 2013 Cigna Medicare products, there is still time to train and certify. All newly contracted agents are required to complete certification for 2013 as well as 2014.

Caution: Completion of the 2013 lessons does not certify you to sell 2014 Medicare products.
